A farm diversification scheme providing a rural childrens' nursery in the tiny hamlet of High Biggins.
To the publicly viewed exterior, the building appears be another farm building, which has stood for all time, however, inside, the building opens up in free flowingforms of curves and vibrant colour, with small scale scattered windows overlooking the secure playground to the rear.
The interpretation of the childrens' needs in a caring and educational environment are reflected in the design, which has also taken on board, the serious issues of safety and security associated with child care provision. The result is a successful and exciting building form.
